Hall Co. home destroyed by fire

An early morning fire Monday destroyed a house in the 4700 block of Claude Peck Road, leaving one person homeless but resulting in no injuries.

The first units to arrive found a “heavily involved” single-story house with flames and smoke showing, said Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) spokeswoman Kimberlie Ledsinger, who added that most of the fire was quickly brought under control but “crews continued to suppress the remaining flames and hot spots in the roof space.”

The Red Cross was notified for the one displaced resident. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
