The strong storms that roared through north Georgia Sunday damaged the roof of the Habersham County Gymnastics building and it has been closed ’til further notice.
“We don’t know the full extent of the damages at this time; however, we do know that the Gymnastics Facility had internal water damage due to the roof leaking,” county spokeswoman Ashlyn Brady said late Monday. “As of right now, we are still assessing the damages from the storm. The Habersham County Gymnastics Facility will be closed until the building can be fully assessed of all damages.”
All gymnastics events for this week have been canceled.
