Gainesville’s BMX Transport has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to freightwaves.com.
The filing says the company owes $1 million-$10million to creditors and has $1 million-$10 million in estimated assets.
But BMX disputes the filings by its top two creditors. One is a $250,000 growing out of a traffic accident, and the other, in a separate case, is a $246,194 reimbursement for property damage.
The third-largest claim, which is undisputed, is from Pawnee Leasing Corp. for $159,350.
