As is the case with most major holidays, administrative offices and most other Gainesville and Hall County offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.
In the city, solid waste collection will be delayed by one day for all customers because no garbage or recycling will be picked up Monday.
Monday customers’ garbage will be collected Tuesday, Tuesday customers’ garbage will be collected Wednesday, Wednesday customers’ garbage will be collected Thursday, and Thursday customers’ garbage will be collected Friday.
Meanwhile, the county’s compactor sites will remain open.
