Gville BOE member resigning

A member of the Gainesville Board of Education (BOE) is resigning, 97.5 Glory FM has learned.

Kris Nordholz is exiting the board because he is moving out of the city and, thus, will be no longer able to serve on the board.

“As we’ve discussed, my family is in the process of moving out of my current school ward, which means I can no longer represent the ward on the school board,” Nordholz said in his resignation letter. “Therefore, I will need to resign my position on the board at the end of this month.”

By early evening Monday, the Gainesville City School System (GCSS) website had already been updated to show that his Ward 2 seat is “vacant.”

Nordholz currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Morton, Vardeman, & Carlson (MVC). He is also the co-founder and current CEO of MVC’s sister company, Full Media, a digital marketing firm specializing in helping healthcare organizations
