The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Friday issued a traffic advisory for Clarks Bridge Road for Saturday and Sunday in the area around the Lake Lanier Olympic Park because of a “special event.”
Though the advisory did not specify what type of event is being held there, an Internet search turned up the answer: the 2025 USRowing Southeast Youth Championships.
“This event,” the USRowing Southeast website says, “provides crews from the region with the opportunity to qualify for the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships.
