GPD: Murder suspect still at large more than a year later

It’s now been more than a year since a young man was killed at a Gainesville apartment complex and his suspected killer remains at large. That has resulted in a renewed plea from police for help in finding him.

GAINESVILLE POLICE (GPD) FACEBOOK POST:

“WANTED- police looking for Monroe teen wanted in 2024 shooting. 

Kyland Rochod Williams, 18, is wanted in connection to the April 2024 shooting death of 16-year-old Jaishawn Overstreet. Williams has been on the run since the shooting. 

Williams is wanted on malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault charges. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gainesville Police.”
