GAINESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT (GPD) NEWS RELEASE:
“Investigation underway after decomposed body found in tent at homeless camp.
Shortly after noon, police were called to a wooded area behind a shopping center on Dawsonville Highway after a body was found in a tent at a homeless camp.
Due to the level of decomposition police are not able to release identification at this time. An autopsy will be conducted in an effort to properly identify the deceased.”
