A GoFund account established to help the family of an East Hall High School (EHHS) teacher and coach who perished in a traffic accident a week ago had raised $2,807 of the $10,000 goal by late Tuesday night. There were 37 contributors at that time.
Victor Vega died on his way to work when an SUV turned into the path of his motorcycle.
“The accident occurred near the high school where Victor was a beloved finance teacher, and a devoted baseball and softball coach,” the person who established the account wrote. “His passion for teaching and mentoring left a lasting mark on countless lives. More than 300 students, colleagues, friends, and community members came together at his service to honor his memory, joining his son, wife, family, childhood friends, and neighbors in a powerful celebration of his life. Many have asked where to contribute and donate that is why I am making this page. Thank you all!”
