Georgia drought coverage, intensity unchanged

The area covered by the current drought in Georgia and its intensity are unchanged from a week ago.

The U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM) reported Thursday that 56 percent of the state, including Hall and surrounding counties, remain drought-free.

Drought conditions remain in southeast, southwest, northwest and east central Georgia.

And the level of Lake Lanier? It is up a tenth of a foot from last Thursday and sits at 1069.3.
