Gas prices up nationally, down in Georgia, Hall Co.

Gas prices are up nationally this week compared to a week ago but down again in Georgia and Hall County.

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded rose a penny since this time a week ago to $3.59. Locally, the Hall County average is $3.35, according to AAA. That’s three cents a gallon less that last week. Meanwhile, the statewide average is down three cents to $3.32.

A spokesman for AAA says last week’s move by the Biden Administration to sell off the million barrel Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve might help stave off any regional pump price surges, but likely won’t move the national average that much.
