Gas prices: Little movement last 7 days

Gas prices didn’t move much the past week, according to AAA.

Georgia’s average for a gallon of regular unleaded didn’t move at all – holding steady at $3.36. And Hall County’s declined by a penny to $3.32.

As for the national average, it was down three cents to $3.53.

“Gas prices will likely keep up this slow sag now that we are past the Memorial Day travel weekend and more locations, east of the Rockies, will be selling gas below $3 a gallon,” said AAA’s Andrew Gross said. “But it’s time to start weather watching as the Atlantic Hurricane Season begins…and forecasters predict it will be very active. A storm impacting the Gulf Coast oil production and refining centers could push prices temporarily higher, so stay tuned.”

June 1 was the start of hurricane season.
