Gas prices down

Across the board gas prices are down compared to a week ago.

The average for a gallon in Hall County is $2.87, a decrease of four cents from last Monday. The statewide average is also down four cents a gallon to $2.88.

And the national average, according to AAA, is three cents cheaper – $3.13 this week as opposed to $3.16.

OPEC+ (the group of oil-producing countries) announced Saturday that it will increase output again in June, widening the supply surplus, which could cause crude prices to continue to fall, AAA says, “meaning road trippers would see lower prices at the pump this summer.”
