FORSYTH CO. NEWS RELEASE:
“The Coal Mountain Connector, located in northern Forsyth County, opened Thursday, and is expected to improve traffic flow by providing an alternate route for motorists traveling east and west on SR 369.
The new roadway begins at the intersection of Bridgetowne Dr. and SR 369, connects to the Settingdown Road roundabout near Coal Mountain Park, and terminates at the intersection of SR 9 and Coal Mountain Dr./Smith Lane.
The total budget for the project was $10.4 million and was funded by the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB) Grant and impact fees.
The Coal Mountain Connector will provide access to the future site of The Crossing at Coal Mountain (previously known as the Coal Mountain Town Center), a private multi-use development under construction in this area.
