Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies arrested a Gainesville man this week following an investigation into an improper relationship with a middle school student.
Warrant Service Unit deputies took Eduardo Abinadab Landino, 27, into custody during a traffic stop
on Tuesday afternoon near his residence southeast of Gainesville. He is charged with enticing a child
for indecent purposes and grooming a child for indecent purposes, both felonies.
Hall County School District (HCSD) administrators notified a School Resource Office (SRO) of the allegations against Landino involving a female student at West Hall Middle School on March 5. The SRO informed HCSO investigators who began investigating the matter. Landino was a teacher at WHMS at the time of the report.
According to the preliminary investigation, Landino used phone calls, text messages, social media and
conversations at school to groom the victim for sex acts. Additionally, Landino drove the victim home from sports practice on one occasion and asked her for oral sex. Investigators believe the incidents started in January and continued through the date of the initial report. Investigators obtained warrants for Landino’s arrest on May 5.
The case remains under investigation by the HCSO Criminal Investigations Bureau.
Landino remained in the Hall County Jail without bond late Wednesday afternoon.
