The funeral will be held later this week for former Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney Mike Crawford who died Sunday at the age of 77.
Crawford was a lifelong resident of Habersham County who served as an Assistant D.A. in the District Attorney’s office for nine years before taking over the top job which he held for 24 years before retiring in 2007. The circuit consists of Habersham, Stephens, and Rabun counties.
Active in scouting, he was Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts Troop 605 for many years, according to his obituary.
