FCSO: 70+ pounds of cocaine, fentanyl seized

The Lanier Regional Drug Task Force (LRDTF), received a tip about possible drug trafficking occurring in a business located on Trotters Way in Forsyth County.

FORSYTH CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE (EDITED FOR BREVITY & CLARITY):

“…Agents observed a van park in front of the business. Two men exited the van and entered the building. A short time later, they left the building with a large box and placed it into the van and left.

A canine unit assigned to the LRDTF established probable cause and…(the deputy and his dog) conducted a traffic stop on the van (after the driver ran a stop sign)…The K9 alerted to narcotics and a search of the van was conducted and approximately…78 poundsof cocaine and fentanyl were located in the van.

At the conclusion of investigation, 33-year-old Rodolfo Ortuno was arrested and charge with Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Fentanyl, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device – Stop Sign, and driving without a license. He is also being held on a detainer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). 28-year-old William Pineda Torres was arrested and charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Fentanyl.
