Father, son face additional charges in child molestation case

A Gainesville man and his son, arrested earlier this year in a child molestation investigation, now face charges involving two additional victims.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NEWS RELEASE:

Reymundo Castillo, 60, and Edgar Jovanny Razo, 30, were arrested at their respective
Gainesville addresses on Sunday…

The ongoing investigation determined Castillo inappropriately touched a second juvenile
female victim. The offenses related to the second victim occurred between October 2015
and October 2017. The second victim is related to the first female victim, who was
identified earlier this year.

Razo also victimized the second girl, according to investigators. Razo performed lewd acts
in the presence of the girl between October 2017 and October 2022. In addition, Razo
performed similar lewd acts in the presence of a third victim between May 2021 and
August 2022. The third victim is an acquaintance of the other two victims.

As a result of the latest evidence, Castillo was charged with sexual battery of a child under
the age of 16. He posted a $4,600 bond and was released May 6 from the Hall County Jail.
Razo faces two counts of child molestation, and he remained in the Hall County Jail with no
bond early Wednesday afternoon.”
