*Gainesville Police this week charged a 22-year-old woman with carjacking, simple battery, and criminal damage to property. She was arrested Monday night and as of Wednesday night remained in the Hall County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $7,200.
*Police also arrested an 18-year-old man on charges of theft by taking, financial transaction card fraud, and two counts of entering an auto to commit a theft. The arrest was made Tuesday night. He is being held without bond.
Police have not returned emails this week seeking further information on each case.
