*A woman is in jail after allegedly putting two children in danger in Coweta County. Coweta County deputies said Nyriah Jones was going over 100 miles-per-hour while driving drunk with two unsecured children in the back of her car. The youngsters are now being cared for by a friend. Jones is facing DUI, speeding and other related charges.
*Mercer University has received a $500,000 grant from the Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce to address the nursing shortage in the state. The funding will be used to purchase educational equipment and supplies for nursing and simulation labs.
