The commutations team at Jackson Electric Membership Cooperation has garnered national attention by being honored in the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA) Spotlight on Excellence Awards, according to a press release from the cooperative.
The Jefferson cooperative’s team was presented two Gold Awards from the NRECA.” The first, which was given for Best Internal News Publication, was awarded to the company’s employee newsletter, JEMClips. The second was awarded for Most Innovative Use of Digital Engagement for the cooperative’s “. . .New Member Email Campaign. . .”
April Sorrow, Vice President of Communications at Jackson EMC, commented on the team’s accomplishments stating, “‘These awards reflect our promise to provide super-personalized care — ensuring members and employees feel valued, informed and supported. JEMCO is the biggest electric cooperative in Georgia and one of the biggest in the US, serving 271,000 meters which are linked to 15,440 miles of live wire.
