Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is forgoing an additional year of collegiate eligibility and is declaring for next year’s NFL draft, according to DawgNation.
Beck threw for 3,485 yards this season in addition to 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He went 24-3 as a starter in his Georgia career.
Beck was injured in the first half of the SEC Championship game against Texas earlier this month, was ruled out of Georgia’s next scheduled College Football Playoff (CFP) game New Year’s Day in the Sugar Bowl. Shortly after that he underwent surgery for that injury, rendering him unable to play in any remaining Bulldog CFP games this season.
