The retiring President & CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS), Carol Burrell, has been named the 2025 Gainesville Woman of Distinction by The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
The Woman of Distinction award honors a woman who reflects the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serves as an excellent role model for girls, according to the news release announcing her selection. It goes on to say she has been chosen for her “outstanding leadership and impactful contributions to the community, exemplifying the spirit of service and empowerment.”
Burrell, who has served as NGHS President & CEO since 2011, will be honored during a special luncheon March 11 at Chattahoochee Country Club.
