*The Dekalb County Coroner said Sunday the man whose burned body was found Saturday atop Stone Mountain died by suicide. Investigators say they found his driver’s license, and a suicide note with the body. It was in an area, Stone Mountain Park officials say, that most people don’t visit. The man’s name still has not been released.
*Georgia could soon be the poster child for how to administer Medicaid with work requirements. The Republican “one big beautiful bill” includes work requirements for able-bodied Medicaid recipients. That mirrors work requirements in Georgia’s “Pathways” health plan. Only Georgia has work requirements for Medicaid recipients.
*Six Georgia cities and counties are on the Trump administration list of localities it says are obstructing immigration enforcement. They include Atlanta and Athens plus these counties: Athens-Clarke, Dekalb, Fulton, and Douglas. All six deny being sanctuary jurisdictions.
