A number of events associated with the Bike Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) in Clarkesville Friday morning. And because of that, some downtown government facilities will have a delayed opening Friday.
“Due to the Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) event taking place in the morning there will be a large influx of both bicycle, pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the immediate vicinity of the Aquatic Center and Administrative Building,” Habersham County Clerk Brandalin Carnes wrote in an email. “For the safety of those participating in the event, the Administrative Building will have a delayed opening of 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 6th.”
The bike ride began last Saturday in Rome and is scheduled to end this coming Saturday in Hartwell after an overnight stay in Toccoa Friday night.
