Beware of traffic delays on Winder Highway

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) TRAFFIC ALERT:

“Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies are working with Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta this week to minimize local traffic delays as the raceway welcomes the 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮 & 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 events.

You can expect heavier traffic than usual as teams and spectators make their way into the raceway on Ga. 53/Winder Highway building up to the main events on Mother’s Day weekend.

𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟬, all vehicles entering the property from the west toward Oakwood/Gainesville will be directed to East Entrance Gate 1 (as referenced on the map) to then proceed through the staging lanes to the main gate. All cars entering from the east (Braselton/Hoschton) will be directed into West Entrance Gate 1 and will then proceed to the staging lanes.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆 (see maps). Southbound traffic will be diverted to Ga. 211/Tanners Mill Road. Northbound vehicles will be directed onto Benefield Road. The detour will last for approximately two hours each night.
