One person was killed Banks County Saturday night as that line of severe storms roared through north Georgia.
The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security the fatality occurred when a tree fell on a car. The deceased’s name had not been released at last check.
Gov. Kemp acknowledged the death and expressed his condolence to the victim’s friends and relatives:
“Join us in praying for the loved ones of a Georgian tragically lost tonight due to the severe storms. As we keep them in our thoughts, we’re also praying for the first responders rushing to help those affected by this strong weather system and the safety of those in its path.”
