*Police cars were damaged, and people six people were jailed during an anti-ICE demonstration in Brookhaven Tuesday night. Brookhaven Police Lt. Jacob Kissel says police had worked it out with organizers to end the demonstration at 9:30 but says that is when several people attacked patrol cars with fireworks and rocks. Tear gas was used to disperse the crowd.
*Nearly half of tap water in the country, including areas in Georgia, is contaminated with “forever chemicals,” according to a study by the US Geological Survey. These chemicals, known as PFAS, are considered dangerous to human health. Activist Erin Brockovich is joining the fight against PFAS contamination in Georgia, where more than 1 million residents may have been exposed to the chemicals. Fox 5 reports that Brockovich and water expert Bob Bowcock will announce new findings on Thursday and Friday from water, soil, and dust tests in Chatsworth and Calhoun, where contamination levels are reportedly high.
