For the second time in as many weeks, there’s a report of road rage in Hall County and, like the first, there were no injuries.
The driver who reported the latest incident called 911 about 5:00 Sunday afternoon to report a “reckless driver” in the area of Candler Road and Poplar Springs Road, Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman B.J. Williams said Monday. “(But) He told the responding deputy someone in a blue SUV attempted to pass him and as he was passing, fired a gun at him.”
Though the motorist was able to provide authorities with a tag number, “it did not match the vehicle he described.”
There was no damage to his vehicle and Williams said there were no further details “at this time.”
EARLIER STORY. POSTED APRIL 30: The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is investigating an incident that was reported just north of Gainesville Monday involving two motorists. A woman told deputies her car was damaged by another car that had been tailgating her. “(She said) that she was traveling northbound on Cleveland Highway at Limestone Parkway when another vehicle began tailgating and honking at her,” the sheriff’s office said. “She reported the vehicle passed her and sideswiped her in the area of Whitmire Circle, damaging her vehicle in the process. She gave a description of the vehicle, but deputies have been unable to locate the vehicle or driver at this time.”
