8 P.M. STORM UPDATE: 20+ ‘incidents’ still active; roads still closed; no NWS survey planned

Q&A with Hall County Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security Director Zach Brackett:

ANY BOATERS ON THE LAKE RUN INTO ANY PROBLEMS? -There was one report of a family whose boat would not start yesterday but they were assisted with no injuries reported.

WILL THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SURVEY THE DAMAGE? -The NWS is not planning any surveys in Hall County as none of our damage was noted to be tornadic in nature.

THE SITUATION AS OF NOW? – We have 26 tree and/or power line incidents still working with an additional three that are needing follow up from the power companies. This is out of a total of 98 tree and/or power line incidents. We have continued to have additional trees fall throughout the day. There are currently 2,405 power outages throughout the county.

Road closures still in effect:

Shady Valley Road
